Aoun Signs Three Key Reform Laws Into Effect

Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Thursday signed three laws passed by Parliament in its most recent session. The signing of these laws marks a significant move in Lebanon’s ongoing reform efforts.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the first law focuses on the restructuring and rehabilitation of Lebanon’s banking system. This initiative is seen as a foundational step in the country’s efforts to restore trust in its financial institutions, which have been under scrutiny in recent years.

The second law introduces amendments to certain provisions of Law No. 11/2025, which concerns lease agreements for non-residential properties. This amendment aims to address and update the legal framework governing such agreements.

The third law involves changes to Law No. 73/2009 and its amendments, specifically related to the criteria for granting administrative compensation to public school principals. This law is expected to impact the administrative procedures and compensation structures within Lebanon’s public education system.
