Army Chief Meets French Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Lebanon: Lebanon's Army Commander General Rudolph Haykal, on Thursday, welcomed General Jean-Michel Meunier, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the French Army for Operations, at his office in Yarzeh. This meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation and address pressing regional developments.

According to National Nws Aency - Lebanon, the discussions between General Haykal and General Meunier centered on enhancing the collaborative efforts and operational coordination between the Lebanese and French armies. They also deliberated on the current situation in Lebanon and assessed the broader regional dynamics impacting the country.

In a gesture of solidarity, General Haykal expressed his condolences to General Meunier over the recent death of two members of the French contingent serving within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This meeting underscores the continued partnership and mutual support between the two nations amidst challenging times in the region.
