Bassil Discusses Regional Developments with Kuwaiti Ambassador


Beirut: Head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, on Wednesday received Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Sultan Al-Sharji, accompanied by Advisor Abdul Aziz Al-Dalh, in the presence of Dr. Tariq Sadiq, who came on an acquaintance visit.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, MP Bassil welcomed the Kuwaiti ambassador, wishing him success in his new duties and emphasizing “the deep fraternal and historical ties between Lebanon and Kuwait.”



The meeting highlighted the long-standing, solid relations between the two countries and Kuwait’s constant support to Lebanon on various levels. Discussions also ventured into the latest developments in Lebanon and the region in light of current challenges.



The attendees emphasized the importance of maintaining the best relations between Lebanon and the Gulf countries. They discussed the need to continue cooperation and coordination in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries and their peoples, strengthens stability, openness, joint Arab communication, and protects Arab unity.



Additionally, Bassil briefed the Kuwaiti ambassador on the FPM’s proposal aimed at protecting Lebanon and fortifying its internal arena.
