Beirut: Head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, emphasized the need for responsible management of the framework agreement in a recent post on X. Bassil noted that while the agreement has its shortcomings, it could be advantageous if it leads to the full restoration of rights. However, he warned of the dangers it poses if it triggers internal conflict. He urged all parties to avoid falling into such a scenario and to be open to any path that helps liberate land, fortifies the state, and establishes peace.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bassil expressed his party's rejection of redeployment strategies, stating that the focus should be on ensuring Israel's withdrawal and preventing further aggression. He also raised concerns about the future of refugees and the management of resources, urging stakeholders to consider these factors in the framework agreement discussions.
