Beirut Completes Removal of BIEL Tents, Relocates Displaced Residents

Beirut: Beirut's Disaster and Crisis Management Room announced that, under the direction of Governor Marwan Abboud, all tents at the BIEL area were removed from both municipal and surrounding private property as part of efforts to restore the site.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, around 70 displaced people without shelter were relocated to the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium, where alternative accommodation was arranged. Tents occupied by individuals found not to qualify as displaced persons were also dismantled.

At the same time, Ramco, with support from the Beirut Municipal Guard and the Internal Security Forces, began clearing debris, removing waste and rehabilitating the site to restore it to its previous condition. The measures form part of Beirut's efforts to organize public and private property while ensuring humanitarian support for eligible cases.
