Nna: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with the Head of the Lebanese Press Editors' Syndicate, Joseph Al-Kosseifi, at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh. The meeting focused on the general situation and the new media law.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dean Al-Kosseifi presented Speaker Berri with the Editors Syndicate's observations on the legislation, along with the amendments proposed by the Lebanese Press Federation. These discussions are part of ongoing efforts to review and potentially reform media-related legislation in Lebanon.
In another engagement, Speaker Berri welcomed the new Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Tomas Brundin, who was on a protocol visit following his appointment. This visit facilitated a review of the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as discussions on bilateral relations between Lebanon and Sweden.
Additionally, Speaker Berri held talks with the Vice President of the Islamic Supreme Shiite Council, Allama Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, to review the general situation, latest political, and field developments in the South, along with national affairs.
