Beirut: President Joseph Aoun, during the Cabinet session, highlighted the significance of the foundation stone being laid for the expansion of Beirut port. He emphasized this development as a positive step that could potentially lead to further projects for the nation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun mentioned that ministries had been tasked with preparing projects to present to the United Arab Emirates. He noted the interest of Emirati officials and business leaders in investing in Lebanon, with two delegations having already visited the country. He urged ministers to act swiftly and collaborate across ministries to capitalize on these opportunities for Lebanon's benefit. Aoun also acknowledged positive developments in the electricity sector, as presented by the energy minister.

Regarding the state budget, President Aoun stated that ongoing government sessions were focused on completing the draft within the constitutional deadline. He highlighted that this would mark the second instance of the budget being submitted on time. Addressing the situation in southern Lebanon, Aoun acknowledged appeals from residents of Nabatieh, Tyre, and Arabsalim, promising continued state support for these communities.

Aoun affirmed the government's commitment to supporting these regions, stressing the importance of ensuring residents can remain in their communities. "It is time for the state to return to the south," he declared, emphasizing the collective responsibility and duty towards the people. He called on every ministry to contribute to supporting southern Lebanon, describing it as an essential part of the country.
