Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri received former Prime Minister Najib Mikati at Ain El-Tineh Palace, where they discussed general developments at both the political and local levels. Speaker Berri’s agenda for the day also included a meeting with MP Jihad Al-Samad, head of the Defense, Interior, and Municipalities Parliamentary Committee, to address political developments, legislative matters, and development issues.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, after the meeting, Al-Samad stated to reporters, “As long as there is occupation, there is resistance.” Later, Speaker Berri also welcomed a delegation of Islamic religious scholars, rounding out a day focused on political and legislative dialogue.
