General Labor Confederation and Land Transport Unions Call Off Planned Strike

Tripoli:The General Labor Confederation and Land Transport Unions have decided to suspend the strike that was set for Wednesday. This decision was made to provide more time for the implementation of government decisions and resolutions that have been agreed upon, as well as to continue discussions on unresolved labor and livelihood issues.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the announcement was made during a joint press conference. Attendees included General Labor Confederation President Beshara Al-Asmar, Land Transport Sector President Bassam Tleis, and representative of fuel distributors and the Gas Station Owners' Union Fadi Abu Chaqra. A significant number of heads of labor and professional federations and unions were also present.
