Berri Engages in Strategic Talks with Labor Minister and Army Commander

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri engaged in a strategic meeting with Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh. Minister Haidar briefed Speaker Berri on the outcomes of his recent visit to Iraq, where he held discussions with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani. They also addressed the current political landscape and anticipated developments.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Minister Haidar expressed that his conversations with Speaker Berri delved deeply into the current political situation. He shared that they explored various phases of political dynamics, and he sought Speaker Berri’s insights on both present and future phases. Minister Haidar confirmed that he would participate in the upcoming Cabinet session, emphasizing that all ministers are expected to attend to deliberate on the agenda items.

In a separate meeting, Speaker Berri engaged in discussions with Lebanon’s Army Commander, General Rodolphe Haykal. Their conversation focused on security and field developments, as well as the overall conditions affecting the military institution. These discussions underscore the ongoing attention to security matters and the operational status of the military.

Additionally, the day’s visitors to Ain El-Tineh included Mufti Sheikh Ahmed Taleb, indicating a series of significant consultations taking place within Lebanon’s political and military spheres.
