Beirut: MP Bilal Abdallah on Monday praised efforts by Donald Trump and the United States to push for de-escalation and a ceasefire in Lebanon, while noting it has yet to hold. Speaking to Sawt Kol Lebanon, he stressed that negotiations are essential and should proceed quickly to limit losses, but within clear priorities: consolidating the ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal, the return of detainees, and reconstruction.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Abdallah warned that Lebanon must act cautiously, safeguarding national unity, and cannot afford to concede all its leverage despite its limited position. He emphasized that the focus should be on preserving Lebanon's interests and ensuring any discussions are in line with the country's strategic objectives.
