Security Update: Israeli Shelling, Demolitions and Tank Fire Reported in South Lebanon

Beirut: Earlier on Monday, intermittent enemy artillery shelling targeted the town of Yater (Bint Jbeil district), after Israeli forces carried out morning sweeping operations inside Bint Jbeil, firing several shells from Merkava tanks toward residential areas. At dawn, Israeli forces also demolished homes between Yaroun and Bint Jbeil. Heavy artillery later struck Yohmor al-Shaqif, while additional shelling hit the outskirts of Yater, Tayr Harfa and Majdal Zoun. Israeli artillery also targeted Zibqin, Biyout al-Sayyad, the outskirts of Hanniyeh and Jabal al-Botom in the Tyre district.
