Baghdad: General Security director-general Major General Hassan Choucair visited Iraq, where he met Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries across several sectors.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Lebanon's General Security media office, Choucair thanked Iraq for its humanitarian and supportive stance toward Lebanon, while al-Zaidi pledged continued cooperation and promised to visit Lebanon soon.

Choucair also met former Iraqi prime minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and thanked him for Iraq's assistance and supportive positions toward Lebanon during the previous period.
