Beirut:The Constitutional Council reached a decision rejecting an appeal filed by ten members of parliament. The appeal contested a law that mandates contract employees to be part of a pension scheme.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the decision was made with a majority of 7 out of 9 council members, affirming the constitutionality and validity of the law's adoption.

The appeal aimed to challenge the inclusion of contract employees in the pension scheme, but the council's ruling confirms the law will remain in effect.
