Culture Minister Salameh Represents President Aoun in Offering Condolences on Death of Norway’s King Harald V

Beirut: Culture Minister Dr. Ghassan Salameh, representing President Joseph Aoun, offered condolences on the death of Norway's King Harald V at the residence of Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon Hilde Haraldstad. Salameh signed the book of condolences on behalf of the president and the Lebanese people.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in his message, Aoun expressed deep sorrow over the king's death and extended his "sincerest condolences and sympathy" to the Norwegian royal family and people. He noted that King Harald had devoted his long reign to promoting openness and diversity and to strengthening the values that unite society rather than divide it.

President Aoun highlighted that during times of hardship and major transformation, King Harald was a voice for unity and openness and remained close to his people. "Norway today loses a king who was loved by his people, while the world loses a distinguished example of dedication to public service and commitment to human values," Aoun wrote.
