Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, in the afternoon received at the Grand Serail, the head of the General Labor Confederation, Bechara Al-Asmar, accompanied by a delegation of the Hospital Workers Union, which included Khalil Ibrahim Kain, Ahmed Ali Taleb, Imad Muhammad Yaghi, Ali Tarek Al-Baqili, Saad El-Din Sakr, Issam Hamed Jabr, Nawal Hassan Al-Hassanieh, Abbas Ali Masrah, Sanaa Rashrash Bou Chanak, Ahmed Abdel Fattah Moussa, Nazir Hassan Othman, Mona Tanios Boutros, Zein George Haddad, Ali Adel Jaafar, Saleh Fouad Al-Dubaisi, Muhammad Khalil Abdullah, Samer Nazzal, Bassam Akoum, and Abdel Latif Issa, in the presence of Prime Minister’s advisors, Khodor Taleb, Petra Khoury and Hussein Kaafarani.
The meeting deliberated on the issue of public servants’ salaries and their right to benefit from an expedited repeated law allowing the reintegration of government hospital workers into the Ministry of Public Health staff, in addition to sustaining salary payment and granting the workers in this sector their full rights. In this regard, Premier Diab assured his interlocutors that he would follow-up on the issue.
