Jousieh: An explosion was heard on Wednesday near the Jousieh-Qaa border crossing on Wednesday, later confirmed to hae occurred inside Syrian territory, close to Jousieh School. Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the site of the blast.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the explosion’s proximity to the Jousieh-Qaa border crossing raised concerns about potential impacts on border security and local residents. The cause of the explosion remains unclear, and authorities are reportedly inestigating the incident to determine the source and nature of the blast.
Local witnesses reported hearing a loud bang, followed by the sight of smoke rising from the Syrian side of the border. The incident has not yet been linked to any known group or organization, and no casualties hae been reported at this time.
