Bint jbeil: MP Hassan Fadlallah asserted that the primary responsibility for reconstruction lies with the state, affirming full cooperation during a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and his delegation at the Union of Municipalities of the Bint Jbeil District. He emphasized the historical burden borne by southern villages, including Bint Jbeil, in defending the country, citing decades of state neglect that led to reliance on resistance for protection and eventual liberation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Fadlallah credited generations of resistance and the leadership of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah for securing liberation and defending Lebanon's dignity. He noted that Lebanon's protection is due to the deterrence equations established by the resistance, recalling significant defeats of Israeli forces in Bint Jbeil in 2006 and the more recent confrontations of 2024.

Fadlallah highlighted the sacrifices made to defend the land, which was later handed to the state to assert sovereignty, protect citizens, and prevent further violations. He praised the Lebanese Army and stressed the necessity for the state to utilize all national strengths. He also pointed out the ongoing challenges of occupation, destruction, displacement, and prisoners in Israeli jails that hinder Lebanon's security and stability.

He urged the government to take immediate actions, especially with countries sponsoring the ceasefire, to halt aggression, liberate occupied territories, and secure detainee release. Fadlallah expressed hope that the prime minister's tour of the south would initiate a comprehensive reconstruction program. He recognized the relief efforts by official institutions, popular initiatives, and Hezbollah but reiterated that the core responsibility for rebuilding lies with the state.
