Beirut: Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister, Youssef Rajji, continued his intensive diplomatic contacts on Saturday, conferring in a phone call with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, over latest developments in the region.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, during the call, Rajji expressed Lebanon's strong condemnation of the attacks on Doha's sovereignty and national security. Both ministers discussed ways to work together to reduce the ongoing Israeli escalation. Rajji also briefed his Qatari counterpart on the content of the Lebanese government's decision to ban Hezbollah's military and security activities and obligate it to hand over its weapons to the Lebanese state immediately and without any delay.
In the same context, Minister Rajji received a call from his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira, who expressed his country's full solidarity with Lebanon in the face of the grave challenges it is facing, and Brazil's readiness to provide all necessary humanitarian support. In turn, Rajji briefed his Brazilian counterpart on the details of the recent government decision in Lebanon.
