Geagea Holds Talks with Iraqi Christian MP on Strengthening Regional Christian Presence

Maarab: Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea received Iraqi Christian MP Khaldo Ramzi Ogana, head of the "Siwayana" bloc, at his Maarab headquarters, accompanied by LF Central Council member Elie Chirbichi. The meeting centered around fortifying the relationship between the Lebanese Forces and Ogana's bloc, with discussions focusing on the status of Christians in Iraq and the region, and strategies to support their ongoing presence in their native lands while upholding citizenship, partnership, and pluralism.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Geagea emphasized the significance of maintaining a robust Christian political presence in the Levant. He expressed support for the resilience of Iraq's Christian community, advocating for their continued connection to their historical homeland. Ogana, in turn, acknowledged Geagea's political and historical influence, identifying him as a key figure in modern Lebanese and Arab history and a leading Christian leader whose political insights are crucial given the regional challenges.

Ogana highlighted the importance of Lebanon's stability, noting that it serves as a beacon of hope for Christians in the region, demonstrating an Arab nation's capability to embrace diversity and integrate it into national life.
