Beirut: Lebanese Forces (LF) Head Samir Geagea met on Thursday at his Maarab residence with "Future" Bloc member Hadi Hbeiche, where they tackled current hour issues. On emerging, Deputy Hbeiche voiced the Bloc's rejection of the postponement of upcoming parliamentary elections or the return to 1960 poll law.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, MP Hbeiche disclosed that intensive consultations are currently taking place between the "Lebanese Forces" and Jumblatt, on one hand, and "Future Movement" and all components of March 14 forces and Jumblatt, on the other hand, to reach an agreement over small-district poll law. Hbeciche stated that the Bloc considers an electoral law based on small-districts as the paramount law that secures best representation for all segments of the Lebanese society.

Geagea then met with a delegation of "Union Coordination Committee" in Lebanon, where they tackled the salary scale issue. Speaking in the name of the delegation, Private Education Teachers' League Head Neemeh Mahfoud said the visit to Maarab comes within the framework of their tour among political leaderships, to discuss the course of the salary scale issue. Mahfoud revealed escalatory steps on October 31 and November 1 represented in a strike and sit-ins across the whole Lebanese territories, in the case the government fails to refer the salary scale to Parliament.
