Grand Mufti Derian Acknowledged by Lebanese Leaders for Supportive Stances

Beirut: Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, on Monday received a phone call from President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun. The President extended his gratitude to Mufti Derian for his recent supportive positions toward the state and government during this critical period, particularly concerning the negotiations to end the ongoing war in Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mufti Derian also received a similar expression of gratitude from Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who acknowledged his supportive stances.

Additionally, Mufti Derian engaged in a phone call with Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, focusing on discussions aimed at strengthening Islamic and national unity.

Later in the day, Mufti Derian met with a delegation from the "Sovereign Front for Lebanon" at Dar al-Fatwa, where they deliberated on the general situation of the country. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, MP Camille Chamoun expressed their appreciation for Mufti Derian's wisdom and his valuable positions that serve the national interest. MP Chamoun further emphasized the critical importance of Lebanese solidarity in the forthcoming period.
