Beirut: Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmad Hajjar, on Friday welcomed head of Airport Security, Brigadier General Fadi Kfoury, at the head of a delegation of officers, on a holiday courtesy visit. The meeting reviewed the operational situation at Rafic Hariri International Airport and the security measures in place.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Hajjar commended the pivotal role played by Airport Security in safeguarding security and safety at this vital facility. He praised the efforts that have led to improvements in organization and service standards. Hajjar also lauded the professionalism shown in dealing with arrivals and travelers, stressing the need to maintain strict measures to combat smuggling to and from Lebanon through enhanced monitoring and inspection, in coordination with the relevant agencies.
Separately, Minister Hajjar received a delegation of officers from the Internal Security Forces' General Inspectorate, headed by Inspector General Elie Abboud. During this meeting, they reviewed the Inspectorate's role in overseeing the proper implementation of laws and adherence to regulations within the institution.
