Beirut: Public Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine received today 15 ambulances donated by Iraq and the Iraqi people during a handover from Iraqi Charg© d'Affaires in Lebanon, Nada Karim Majoul.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Nassereddine stated that the donation provides significant support for Lebanon's health sector, especially following the repeated targeting of medical facilities amid recent tensions. The ambulances are intended to serve government hospitals in affected areas, facilitating the evaluation of displaced patients and aiding the wounded.

Additionally, some of the vehicles will be allocated to the Lebanese Civil Defense. Nassereddine expressed gratitude to Iraq for its ongoing support to Lebanon and the Ministry of Public Health. He also recognized the contributions of Public Security Director-General, Major General Hassan Choucair, in facilitating the initiative.

The Public Health Minister assured that despite the challenging health situation in the country, Lebanon's healthcare system remains capable of managing the crisis, commending healthcare workers for their efforts in maintaining services nationwide.
