Hezbollah and Iran Discuss Regional Developments and Cooperation

Beirut: Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem met with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi, accompanied by Ambassador Mojtaba Amani. The meeting focused on discussing regional and global developments and their implications for countries in the region.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sheikh Naim Qassem addressed the ongoing US-Israeli aggression and Israel's non-compliance with the ceasefire agreement signed in November 2024. Despite Lebanon's adherence to the agreement, Israeli actions indicate expansionist intentions, as articulated by Netanyahu's vision of "Greater Israel." Sheikh Qassem emphasized the resilience and resistance of the Lebanese people in liberating their land and the commitment to cooperating with the state and army to rebuild and expel occupation forces.

Dr. Araghchi expressed Iran's desire to strengthen its relationship with Lebanon, akin to relations between friendly states. The Iranian economic delegation aims to enhance cooperation across various fields. He highlighted Iran's resilience despite sanctions, emphasizing the country's commitment to peaceful nuclear energy and defense development. Iran, under the leadership of Imam Khamenei, remains determined to face challenges and bolster its national pride and power.
