Beirut: Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar commemorated the victims of the Beirut port explosion, reaffirming the ministry's support for the judicial investigation and efforts to uncover the truth. "Today, we remember the victims with the utmost respect and renew our solidarity with their families, the wounded, and those affected," Al-Hajjar said. He stressed the continuation of full cooperation with the judiciary "in a way that contributes to uncovering the truth and achieving justice."
According to National news agency - Lebanon, on the occasion, Brig. Gen. Sami Nassef, Secretary-General of the Central Internal Security Council and representative of the Interior Minister, laid two wreaths, one at the monument honoring Beirut Fire Brigade martyrs and another at the monument commemorating fallen members of the General Security, in tribute to their sacrifices and in remembrance of their lives.
