Beirut: Acting public prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, Judge Samaranda Nassar, has postponed the questioning of former central bank governor Riad Salameh and Bank Audi Director-General Samir Hanna. This decision comes amidst a lawsuit filed against them by Banque du Liban.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, a Central Criminal Investigations patrol, with support from the Information Branch, was dispatched to Salameh's residence in Safra to enforce a summons issued by Public Prosecutor Judge Ahmad Rami al-Hajj. However, Salameh was not found at his residence.

Salameh's lawyer, Wassim Ghaoui, assured that his client would appear voluntarily. While en route to the Justice Palace, Salameh experienced a health issue, leading his lawyer to request permission to return him home for a medical examination by his doctor. The prosecutor's office granted the request, resulting in the postponement of the questioning to a later date.
