Tehran: An Iranian military official stated today that a renewed war with the United States remains a possibility due to the ongoing stalemate in peace talks, coupled with President Donald Trump's criticism of Iran's latest proposal during negotiations.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mohammad Jafar Asadi, the deputy head of inspections at the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, the Central Command of the Armed Forces, was quoted by the Iranian Fars News Agency. Asadi remarked, "A renewed conflict between Iran and the United States is a possibility, and facts have shown that the United States does not abide by any promises or agreements."
