Beirut: Finance Minister, Yassine Jaber, on Wednesday received a high-level delegation from the Middle East Regional Technical Assistance Center (METAC), headed by Director Monique Newiak, to discuss the center's role in supporting economic and financial stability across the region.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the delegation outlined METAC's achievements despite mounting regional challenges, highlighting continued demand for its technical assistance services and plans for a new five-year strategy serving member states.
METAC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining its headquarters in Beirut, where it has been based for more than two decades, emphasizing the value of its institutional expertise and local knowledge.
Jaber praised the center's resilience and its contribution to strengthening financial and institutional capacities across the region, stressing the importance of continued cooperation to support reform efforts, economic development and long-term stability.
