Beirut: The media office of Justice Minister, Adel Nassar, on Wednesday announced that contact was made between the minister and the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, Judge Jamal Hajjar. Following this communication, it was decided to warn citizens that possession of any weapon not licensed by Lebanese authorities will lead to immediate arrest and referral to the Military Court.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement added that any such weapons will be permanently confiscated. The Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation also instructed the competent public prosecutions to strictly enforce the law in this regard.
