Baabda: The flag at Baabda Presidential Palace has been lowered to half-mast as a mark of mourning for the former Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The Lebanese Presidency announced this gesture on its official X account, stating that the official mourning period will persist through Wednesday.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the decision follows a memorandum issued by Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam. The Lebanese government has expressed its condolences and solidarity with the people of Qatar during this time of bereavement. The half-mast flag at the presidential palace signifies Lebanon's respect and acknowledgment of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's contributions and legacy.
