Athens: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has made a formal request to Greece, urging the nation to support Beirut in its efforts to implement a ceasefire agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict with Israel. During a significant meeting with Greek President Constantine Tassoulas and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Aoun emphasized that military solutions will not yield success in resolving the situation. According to Deutsche Welle, President Aoun expressed the exhaustion of the Lebanese people, stating that they are "tired" of enduring wars. He conveyed a strong plea for Greece's assistance in ensuring the successful execution of the ceasefire agreement. "We ask Greece to do all it can to help Lebanon in implementing the agreement," Aoun stated, highlighting the critical need for international support in stabilizing the region.
