‘Loyalty to the Resistance’ Parliamentary Bloc Sends Memorandum to Foreign Embassies Over Israeli Attacks on Lebanon

Beirut: The "Loyalty to the Resistance" parliamentary bloc on Thursday sent a memorandum to Arab and foreign embassies accusing Israel of committing widespread violations of the November 2024 ceasefire agreement and escalating attacks against Lebanon with US backing.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the bloc stated that Israeli forces had committed nearly 10,000 violations since the agreement took effect. These violations include strikes on civilians, infrastructure, and border villages. The memorandum also warned of potential plans to establish a buffer zone in southern Lebanon.

The parliamentary bloc argued that diplomatic efforts and international monitoring mechanisms had failed to stop the attacks. It emphasized that Lebanon retained the right to "legitimate self-defense" under international law.

The memorandum called for a complete halt to Israeli attacks, withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory, the return of displaced residents, reconstruction of affected areas, and the release of Lebanese detainees.
