Akkar: Migratory storks have landed in the town of Mishmish during their return migration from Africa to Europe, in a striking natural scene that reflects the region's role as a safe corridor for migratory birds. The birds, considered environmentally beneficial, play a crucial role in reducing insects and agricultural pests, thereby supporting ecological balance.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, environmental activists have urged residents to protect the storks and ensure their safe passage. Activist Bilal Taleb emphasized that safeguarding migratory birds demonstrates local awareness of biodiversity and underscores the need to provide a safe environment for these birds during their stopovers.
