Salam Chairs Ministerial Meeting to Strengthen Coordination, Reviews Security and Economic Developments

Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Monday chaired a ministerial meeting at the Grand Serail, asking ministers to present their portfolios and ways to enhance coordination across government.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Paul Morcos, Defense Minister, Michel Menassa, reviewed ongoing airstrikes in the South and the situation along the Lebanese-Syrian border, while Interior Minister, Ahmad Hajjar, outlined security developments.

Salam instructed all security agencies to ensure respectful and equal enforcement of the law.

Economy Minister, Amer Bisat, detailed measures to combat inflation, fraud, monopoly practices and smuggling, calling for higher fines through legislative amendments and stronger judicial coordination.

Finance Minister, Yassine Jaber, stressed that financial and monetary stability remains a top priority, while Social Affairs Minister, Hanin El-Sayed, presented updates on displacement trends.
