Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, on Thursday received Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Chen Chuandong, at his office in the National Library in Sanayeh, along with a delegation from the Chinese Embassy. The meeting focused on assessing the general situation and enhancing bilateral relations, especially in the cultural sector.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Chinese Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the meeting, highlighting discussions on strengthening cultural exchanges between Lebanon and China. He emphasized the importance of both countries' rich cultural histories and shared values, such as mutual respect and a passion for learning.

The discussions also addressed specific projects, including the National Higher Conservatory of Music. This initiative, supported by a grant from the Chinese government, is seen as a significant cultural development for Lebanon. Ambassador Chen noted that such projects underscore the commitment of both nations to deepen their cultural ties.
