Mitri Reaffirms Lebanon’s Commitment to Sovereignty and Stability Amidst Iranian Diplomatic Talks

Beirut: Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri met with an Iranian diplomatic delegation on Thursday, underscoring Lebanon's commitment to full state sovereignty over its entire territory and the strengthening of national stability. The delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary, and Iranian Expatriates Affairs Vahid Jalalzadeh, included Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General of West Asia and North Africa, Mehdi Shooshtari.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Iranian delegation briefed Mitri on the latest international and regional developments, focusing on the future of U.S.-Iran relations and their potential impact on Lebanon. The discussions highlighted the critical need for peace and stability in the Middle East, a region that has been plagued by ongoing conflicts.

The meeting served as a platform for both parties to stress the importance of Lebanon's intention to assert its authority across its territory, emphasizing full sovereignty and independence from any form of occupation or external influence.
