Beirut: Information Minister Paul Morcos on Wednesday received MP Walid Baarini at the ministry, where the two discussed the role of the media and the legislative framework governing the sector. Following their meeting, Baarini described the visit as a natural one, emphasizing the crucial role of the Ministry of Information and the media as the "fourth estate."

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Baarini highlighted that the media acts as a mirror to society, reflecting its concerns and effectively conveying the voices of citizens. He stressed the importance of supporting Lebanon's media sector to ensure it continues fulfilling its national role. Baarini expressed his backing for the draft media law currently under consideration in Parliament, commending Minister Morcos for his efforts. He noted that Morcos was working in the national interest, rather than for personal gain.
