Beirut: Justice Minister Adel Nassar condemned today's incident involving a UNIFIL patrol in southern Lebanon, denouncing the attack that killed a French contingent soldier and wounded several others. He extended his condolences to the French state and the soldier's family, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Nassar stated he contacted both the Public and Military Prosecutors to initiate immediate investigative measures to uncover the circumstances of the attack and determine responsibilities.
"This incident will not go unpunished, and those involved will be arrested and will face the necessary legal action," pledged Nassar.
