Beirut: Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister, Youssef Rajji, addressed a message of condolences to his French counterpart, Jean-No«l Barrot, following the targeting of the French UNIFIL contingent in southern Lebanon. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of Staff Sergeant Florian Montorio, who was serving on peacekeeping duty. Minister Rajji also extended his wishes for a speedy recovery to those who were injured in the incident.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Rajji strongly condemned these "criminal and cowardly" acts, emphasizing that the Lebanese state is committed to pursuing and punishing those responsible for the attack. The incident has drawn attention to the ongoing risks faced by peacekeeping forces in the region and underscores the importance of ensuring their safety and security.
