Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel expects the Syrian side to establish a demilitarized zone stretching from Damascus to the Golan Heights buffer zone.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Netanyahu added, “A positive approach, based on understanding these principles, could lead to an agreement with the Syrians,” hinting at a conditional willingness to open negotiations if Israeli security demands are met.
