Beirut: Oil prices gave up some of their gains in early Asian trading on Thursday as tankers continued to leave the Middle East despite heightened regional tensions, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. Brent crude futures fell $1.29, or 1.42%, to $89.45 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude declined 56 cents, or 0.66%, to $83.90.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, gold prices moved higher, with spot gold rising 0.4% to $4,080.38 an ounce. U.S. gold futures for August delivery gained 1.1% to $4,078 an ounce.
