Oil Tanker Hit by Unknown Projectile in Strait of Hormuz

Beirut: An oil tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, damaging its bridge but causing no injuries to the crew, according to two maritime agencies.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the tanker's master reported the vessel had been hit by an unknown projectile. It added that the bridge sustained damage, all crew members were safe, and no pollution had been reported.

British maritime security firm Vanguard Tech identified the vessel as the Panama-flagged oil tanker Keiko.
