Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Friday, received a delegation from the Kfar Rumman Municipality, comprising Municipality Head Abdullah Farhat and several members of the municipal council, in the presence of Saeb Al-Zein. The delegation presented a series of demands related to the return and recovery efforts.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, during the meeting, Premier Salam announced that the Council for Development and Reconstruction would soon begin implementing its projects in the area, following the completion of necessary preparatory procedures. He further mentioned his collaboration with the Council for South Lebanon on projects concerning the town.

PM Salam requested the municipality to prepare a list of the town's most urgent priorities and needs, and to conduct a survey of families requiring assistance with shelter or prefabricated housing. Priority would be given to the most vulnerable families with no alternative housing options, given the limited resources and available capacities.

Salam addressed the Israeli attacks on Kfar Rumman which resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, including children, noting they were being documented by the National Commission for International Humanitarian Law, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri.

The delegation called for strengthening the army's deployment, particularly along roads leading to Al-Khardali and Dawhat Kfar Rumman, as well as reinforcing the presence of security forces within the town, especially the Internal Security Forces. Salam affirmed that efforts were ongoing to bolster the presence of the army and security forces to reassure residents and reinforce stability.
