Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam convened a significant meeting at the Grand Serail on Wednesday afternoon, which included key governmental figures such as Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri, Minister of Finance Yassin Jaber, Minister of Social Affairs Haneen Al-Sayed, Minister of Economy Dr. Amer Bisat, and State Minister for Administrative Development Affairs Fadi Makki. This meeting was notably attended by a World Bank delegation led by Jean-Christophe Carret, the Country Director for the Middle East.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Jean-Christophe Carret highlighted the core focus of the meeting, which revolved around a reform program document submitted earlier to Prime Minister Salam. This document outlines a reform plan targeting 14 key sectors, a project that has been in development for years. Carret emphasized the importance of the discussions held during the meeting and indicated that the World Bank plans to publish the reform program in the near future.
