Nabatieh: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam chaired a meeting focused on the ongoing reconstruction efforts in the city of Nabatieh.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting included several key figures such as Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny, President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction Mohammad Ali Kabbani, and President of the Council of the South Hashem Haidar. Other attendees were Director General of Urban Planning Ali Ramadan, Director of the Central Operations Room at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Zahi Shaheen, Nabatieh Municipality Head Abbas Fakhr El-Din, and Municipal Council members Hussein Jaber, Khodor Qodeih, Mohammad Kaheel, and Mohammad Hijazi.
Prime Minister Salam emphasized the urgency of revitalizing Nabatieh, which he described as the capital of Jabal Amel, highlighting its crucial role in the South's revival and the return of residents to their towns and villages. He pointed out the city's significance as the governorate's administrative, economic, and service hub.
The meeting assessed the progress of the city's return and recovery process and addressed ongoing challenges, particularly concerning infrastructure, facilities, and public services. Participants agreed on strategies to tackle these issues and enhance coordination among relevant authorities to expedite the execution of essential measures and projects.
