PM Nawaf Salam Meets Egyptian, Greek Ambassadors on Farewell Visits

Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Thursday received Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. Premier Salam also received Greek Ambassador to Lebanon, Despina Koukoulopoulou, on a farewell visit marking the end of her diplomatic mission in Lebanon.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the farewell visits of both ambassadors were marked by discussions highlighting the diplomatic relations and mutual cooperation between Lebanon and their respective countries. Ambassador Alaa Moussa has been instrumental in fostering bilateral ties between Egypt and Lebanon, focusing on areas of mutual interest and cooperation during his tenure. Similarly, Ambassador Despina Koukoulopoulou's efforts have been pivotal in strengthening the relationship between Greece and Lebanon.

The departure of both ambassadors signifies a transitional phase in the diplomatic engagements for Lebanon with Egypt and Greece. The meetings with Prime Minister Salam emphasized the importance of sustaining and further developing these diplomatic bonds. As both ambassadors prepare to depart, the Lebanese government looks forward to continuing strong partnerships with Egypt and Greece under new diplomatic leadership.
