Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salam©, held a meeting at the National Library in Sanayeh with Yasmin Raya, the Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy in Lebanon. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Lebanon and Germany, with a particular emphasis on cultural cooperation and the protection of archaeological sites.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the meeting explored various avenues for continued collaboration between the Lebanese Ministry of Culture and the German Embassy. Yasmin Raya extended a special invitation to Minister Salam© to attend a ceremony honoring Professor Margarete van Ess, a German archaeologist recognized for her long-term work since 1998 at the Baalbek archaeological site. Additionally, Raya invited Salam© to participate in the Munich Security Conference, highlighting Germany's commitment to fostering cultural and archaeological partnerships with Lebanon.
