Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Thursday received UK National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell, and British Ambassador to Lebanon Hamish Cowell. Discussions focused on the challenges facing Lebanon and efforts to halt the war in the region.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting between Prime Minister Salam and the UK officials was aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional security issues that pose threats to Lebanon. Both parties emphasized the importance of international cooperation in achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.
