Annaya: Pope Leo XIV toured the Annaya Monastery amid sacred hymns. He entered the tomb of Saint Charbel, where he knelt and prayed inside the crypt. He then lit a candle in front of the tomb, a gift he brought from Rome to the Monastery of Saint Maroun in Annaya.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Pope’s visit to the Annaya Monastery was marked by a solemn atmosphere as he paid homage to Saint Charbel. The lighting of the candle symbolized a gesture of faith and respect from the Vatican to the revered saint’s resting place.
